Tasty Turkey Brine & Rub Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Turkey

Thaw in the refrigerator (allow 1 day per 5 lbs). Remove neck, giblets, and any packets.

Note: For a chicken or small turkey, use half quantities.

Step 2: Prepare the Brine

Mix the entire Bird Bath Brine with 1 gallon of hot water in a bowl. Stir until dissolved, then refrigerate until cool.

Step 3: Brine the Turkey

Place the brine bag in a large bowl, bucket, or roasting pan for support and to prevent spills. Place the turkey breast-side down in the bag, pour in the chilled brine, and squeeze out air to fully submerge the turkey. Twist and tie the bag securely. If needed, tuck towels around the bag to help raise the brine over the turkey.

Refrigerate for 12 hours.

Step 4: Season

Remove the turkey, pat dry, brush with oil, and season with Feather Duster Rub.

Step 5: Cook and Enjoy

Cook the turkey as desired and enjoy!
